Fresh air ventilation will not turn off. I fixed the wiring so it would work how it’s supposed to. When I was inspecting the fresh air vent duct, one of the ducts were disconnected. When I was repairing the duct work I noticed rat droppings near the duct work. I’m not sure how it got disconnected but it could’ve been the rats fault.
Upon arrival, I found that the downstairs thermostat was not working properly with both zones. Upon inspecting the attic, I discovered rat droppings and identified a disconnected wire affecting the damper motors. This caused the damper motor to malfunction. After reconnecting the wire, the damper motor started working correctly. Though a minor repair, it had the potential for more significant issues. Rats can chew wires without reason, posing a threat to your HVAC system. It’s crucial to address the rat issue promptly to avoid further damage.
Installed compressor saver
The client contacted us about an estimate for a new water heater. The old one had some rust showing and was not functioning well at all. We gave several options and they chose a new tankless water heater to have an endless supply of hot water whenever necessary.
Performed diagnostic and found bad fuse at the air handler. Replaced fuse and tested system in normal and emergency heat modes, system draws normal amp draw and is operating as designed. Believe the cause of failure is a bad fuse. Additionally I addressed customers questions about lights dimming when compressor comes on. I recommended that customer invest in a start kit or have an electrician look into moving compressor circuit to main panel
Upon arrival I found the inducer motor wheel rubbing onto the service grille. Took off grille and to bend the flanges so it wouldn’t happen again.

Flame sensor is clean, hot surface igniter is good with no discoloration, tighten all wiring in the furnace, cleared pressure switch tubing, inducer motor amps are running at 1.90 of 1.95 amps, blower motor is running at 4.45 amps, and getting a temperature rise of 45 degrees. Performed a safety inspection on the heat exchanger do to light flame roll out, through the high limit switch I noticed some hot spots but no breaches at this time. Age: 17 yr Coleman Size: 60k btu Location: gas split closet ground Static pressure: .37 inwc Work performed: annual heat maintenance, system is operating at this time but out of manufactured specifications due to inducer motor running beyond max amps 2.34 of 2.25 amps, and blower motor is starting to leak oil. Flame sensor is clean, igniter is good and no sign of discoloration, blower capacitor has a good charge 7.3 of 7.5 mfd, air purifier is operating properly, blower light dust build up, circuit board does not have any signs of browning, tighten all wiring inside the furnace, cleared pressure switch tubing from any debris, blower motor is running at 5.56 amps, and getting a temperature rise of 43 degrees.
