Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on a nine-year-old Lennox system. Upon arrival fuses are in off position. Put fuses in properly and fan started up however, compressor did not turn right on. Attempted to put a hard start kit on the system after checking the resistance in the system and the resistance adding to the appropriate totals. Putting a hard kit on the system did not fully start the compressor. Put refrigerant gauges on and my readings were seven psi and 265 psi which indicates there’s a clog in the line. Total scope of repairs would be to replace the compressor as well as thermal expansion valve and re weld it all together. Cost of the repairs is over $8000 and due to the age of the system I recommended replacing you. I put together an estimate for a heat pump system as well as a dual fuel system so they may keep their gas heating if desired. Estimate from other company was a Lennox; recommended moving to a Daikin product as they are a more reliable system. michael will

I noticed that the filter that she currently had in her system was dirty and I let her know she should get it replaced, she didn’t have any extra today. Temperature split was at 1° in the beginning. I went to the outside unit and I noticed that the fan was the only thing running and the compressor wouldn’t come on. I checked for amperage and noticed it was at zero on the compressor side. hard start. Kit had also failed. Starter had failed, completely out of range. recommended replacing starter and hard start kit. Sarah agreed. Also got her signed up to our CCC membership program. Installed starter and heart start. Ran and tested system. Everything is operating normally. I also washed down the unit. Amperage on both compressor and fan side or low. Temperature split was above 20°. Sarah was very happy to have called air in her Home

Thermostat is responsive and calling for cool. Condenser unit is located in backyard. The system was very dirty, so I washed it off and cleared it from debris. opened up the system, and I noticed that the contactor was melted, causing it not to engage. I also checked capacitor and it is out of range on the fan side. I recommended Eli replacing the contactor and capacitor, and also adding a hard start kit. Eli agreed to adding a new capacitor and contactor, and also got signed up to our CCC membership program, so I personally could come out to maintain Eli’s property. We were able to get Eli some discounts for his contactor and capacitor. And will be returning Thursday to add the dual AC capacitor, 55 x 7.5. Ran in tested system after installing new contactor. Everything is operating normally,

Arrived on site to perform HVAC evaluation upon arrival system is running, but only providing a 15° temperature split. Evaluated entire system. Moderate freezing is present on the evaporator coil, which is the likely area that the system is leaking. All capacitors are within spec however the hard start on the air conditioner is out of spec. Compressor amperage is higher than it should be given its age; reaching a approximately 75% of the max on the tag. Blower motor is operating within a safe range based off of its data tag as well. Capacitor on blower fan is within inspect. Evaporator coil is mostly clean and the furnace only has light dirt buildup on the fan. contactor on air conditioning shows moderate burning and should be replaced soon. Flame sensor on furnace is clean. Outdoor unit is very dirty and should be cleaned to maximize efficiency as well as prevent breakdowns. Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on a system that was likely built in 2007 due to the home being built in 2007. Data tag has faded completely off of the system however it is identifiable as a carrier brand. There are two capacitors in the system, one controls the outdoor fan and one control controls the compressor; both are completely blown. Due to the condition, Richard requested capacitors on his system, and both of those were either blown or out of spec as well. Replaced all four capacitors today and recommended maintenance agreement to go with it. Richard agreed it was a good idea and we signed up for the maintenance program today. Informed Richard of the average life expectancy of the systems and let him know that he will likely be up for replacement soon. Tested both systems after changing Both Capacitors and both systems are operating with a 20° temperature split up upon departure
We're so glad you had a positive experience with our heating and cooling repair service. Thank you for your kind words and support.
arrived on site to perform diagnostic on a seven-year-old systeme upon arrival outdoor fan is running however compressor is not. After just a moment or two I heard the compressor try to kick on. It indicates that the capacitor has failed. Capacitor and capacitor was getting a zero reading on the compressor side; capacitor and recommended signing up for maintenance agreement as well as adding a hard start system to prolong compressor. Agreed and installed Hardstark kit today. Tested system after installation of parts and system is operating properly upon departure.
Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 19 year-old system. Upon arrival system is operating with a 20° temperature split. Perform through evaluation to ensure all parts were functioning as they should and that there was no issues with airflow. Both capacitor on outdoor unit as well as the Hardart kit on the outdoor unit and the capacitor in the Furnace fan were out of spec. Suggested Replacing all three of those parts to allow system to operate as intended. Alfredo agreed. Recommend maintenance agreement as well since he is moving to Florida and wants to rent out his home. At this time, he chose to move forward with just the repairs and system is running up upon departure.

Upon arrival when calling for cool, the indoor fan runs for about five seconds and then powers down. Shortly after the Google nest shows an error code that indicates there’s no wire. Checking the wiring diagram. It shows that the Y one wire is present. Went to control and followed the wires. Wires past visual inspection and all connections were tight on the circuit board. Went to manually start air conditioner by connecting power to y1 on the circuit board; fuse blew on board. From experience; my next step in the process to go to the outdoor unit and ensure that wiring is secure. Upon opening service panel, I noticed smell of burnt plastic. This indicates that the contactor has failed. Informed Nancy she needed to change her contactor; changed contactor and tested system. System is operating upon departure.
