Blower motor was recently replaced by Aleks. He also recently replaced his control board and the capacitor on his system. The indoor fan ran for a few days and then stopped running. Evaluated wiring of the system, and after an in-depth evaluation, I determined that he had put a dual capacitor on his blower motor that required 40 mfd, however, due to the way that the capacitors are designed, he was under the impression he needed to put it on the five mfd side because it was labeled fan , as a result, the fan was not working as it needed more power
Evaluated system with Kenny, regional technical manager from Daikin comfort industries. Connection loose connecting primary outdoor board to secondary out door board. Was told to order boards and change out of it happens again.
System is not running upon arrival. Thor says he just recently started up his furnace and it wasn’t warming up the home. Thermostat is responsive when calling for heat fan comes on immediately. Furnace powers up and goes through sequence of operation but stops after the inducer motor. Both pressure switches are in operating condition and inducer motor is providing the right amount of suction. Inducer motor and hoses were removed and cleared out from any bugs. After cleaning system still doesn’t power up. Visually inspected all wires and connections as well as return duct filter and evaporative coil. Removed connection from inducer motor to eliminate flue pipe blockage, no blockage and system still doesn’t come on. Circuitboard shows an error code of faulty, high limit switch. Identified the faulty high limit by checking continuity. Will call Goodman tomorrow to order pressure switch and will be coming back to install it whenever Thor is available. System was left as is a departure.
