System is operating upon arrival. Loreen says her system is still continuing to turn on around midnight. I made sure all circulation and fan schedules were off. And set fan to low speed. also readjusted their normal schedule so it doesn’t come on at night. Went through the whole system into the throwo evaluation. All motors are working properly and pulling the correct amount of amperage. Blower and evaporative coil are clean. All water is drain properly. Thermostat is responsive and calling for heat. April air filter was dirty and replace it with a new one. Loreen purchased one with us. I recommended replacing filters every six months to avoid system getting dirty. Heat pump had dirt buildup on coil and was washed off and cleaned. Temperature coming out of vents were within range. Loreen and her husband were very satisfied with today’s tuneup. System was left running upon departure.
On arrival disconnect uses were set in the Off position. Put them in on position and breaker immediately tripped. Breaker is on the other side of the fence in the neighbors yard. Check fuses and one of the fuses is blown. Check for the resistance rating inside the compressor and the resistance was way off; two of the readings were in the mid 90s and the resistance rating on most compressors is under seven. Diagnosis failed compressor. Attempted to call Homeowner with no answer. Send estimate for repairs and system is off upon departure.
Arrived on site to perform maintenance On a nine-year-old furnace located in the garage. Upon arrival system powers on when calling for heat at thermostat, completes its sequence of operations and begins to warm the home. Let system run for 15 minutes until a 4° temperature increase transpired in the home. While system was running, I checked the amperage on both major motors and both motors are pulling proper amperage. Flame sensor was dirty today and I cleaned it as part of the maintenance. Igniter is in range 50.1 ohms. There were two filters in the system when I arrived, which was advised from the former technician; I removed one of the filters and advised against it to prevent any static pressure issues. Blower fan has light debris buildup, however not enough to impede efficiency. Baily is Moving to Granite Bay however keeping this home as a rental and added a membership for her granite Bay home today. System is not operating upon arrival. Joe says his system hasn’t been blowing air in is home for the past couple days. Thermostat is responsive and calling for cool. I noticed that his disposable filter was dirty and he says he gets them replaced every six months, I recommended every 3 months. 22 year old package unit is located on roof. When approaching the package unit, I noticed that compressor and fan motor were both on but blower motor was not on causing the evaporator coil to freeze. I checked the starter for the blower motor and it was completely out and needs to be replaced. I also checked the starter for the compressor and the fan motor and both of those are out of range and need to be replaced. I also noticed that the system was pretty dirty and blower fan was really dirty, what caused the blower starter to go out. I recommended Joe and his wife to speak to a comfort advisor first before doing any repairs. I would come back to do repairs if they did not want to go with a new

System is operating upon arrival. Alex has no issues with systems or airflow. He is concerned about his filter, wondering if it’s dirty enough to have replaced today. he also told me that insulation up in the attic and ductwork is not the best but he has already received estimates. Thermostat is responsive when calling for heat. Disposable April air filter was replaced with a new filter, Alex purchased. Air handler is located in hallway closet. Evaporator coil and blower are clean. Amperage on blower is within range. Circuit board is free from any electrical damage. Heat pump is located in back yard. No signs of electrical damage on any circuit boards or contactor. Amperage was still within range. Washed down heat pump. Ductwork is original to the home and dirty inside. Recommended either a duct cleaning or full duct replacement because i’ve also noticed temperatures were different on each end of the home coming out the vents, indicating air and or temperature escaping the ductwork und

upon arrival, I noticed that system was not working properly. Rhea and her husband wanted a duct cleaning estimate. She told me that they’ve had a duct cleaning about two years ago. Her husband was wondering if a hole in a duct can cause warm air to enter the home. I told him it was possible, but most likely would only be to the vents that’s connected to the duct and not all the ducts/vents, which warm air was coming out of all vents. I recommended doing a diagnostic on their AC system. Her husband did not wanna diagnostic and only wanted the duct estimate. I provided an estimate and I still opened up the furnace just to check a couple components. I noticed rust buildup around the furnace and the blower. And I also walked out to the condenser unit and noticed the fan and compressor were not on. I still recommend to do in a diagnostic especially with our $99 fee. both systems are operating upon arrival. Performed AC tuneup and furnace tuneup. Both thermostats are responsive when calling for cool or heat. Went through the sequence of operations in the furnace. inducer motor amperage is within range. Pressure switches are operating. No gas leaks coming from gas valve. Igniter‘s in working condition. Flame sensor is an operating condition. Blower amperage is a little bit higher than normal due to it being dirty. Recommend a blower cleaning as well as upgrading filter to a pure air. X polarizer. Ductwork is also dirty in the inside and recommend a duct cleaning to help reduce allergies in the home. disposable Merv 9 rating filter was replaced with a new filter. ran furnace for about 15 minutes then switch to AC. After switching to AC I checked temperature split, and it was between 18 and 20°. ductwork in attic is intact and insulation meets manufacture code. and then went to the condenser unit and started checking amperage on both compressor and fa
Came to reset the reversing valve. accidentally put it for AC instead of Heat. fixed the issue. temp split is at 20 degrees. system was left running upon departure.

System was operating upon arrival. Came to check out an issue with the fan still running while the system reaches temperature. Fan turns off when the system is completely off from the thermostat. I happen to notice that there was no fan circulation schedule. I reset to factory settings on thermostat. I noticed that the dehumidifier was turned off when resetting the thermostat. I came to conclusion that the dehumidifier was on before causing the system to bring down the humidity in the home, while running the fan. System turns off when temperature is reached and fan, also turns off. I recommended Estella to join our CCC membership program, and I personally would come out to make sure her system is in great shape. System was left running upon departure.

Upon arrival client stated the living room vent isn’t working and there’s a strange beeping sound coming from the unit. I adjusted the vent in the living room. I was receiving 1000 ft/min from that vent. The beeping noise from the garage was an old monoxide detector. Everything looks good upon departure.
Discussed replacement of current blown in attic insulation by removing what is there and replacing it with brand new insulation. The Former owners of the home had been cigarette smokers and the smell of smoke has seeped into the insulation so every time they run their attic fan/whole house fan, they can smell that being pushed back into their home. Discussed putting a cardboard barricade around the whole house fan upon replacing the insulation. Wiring diagram of fan motor instructed to put connections on bottom of contactor, fan wouldn’t turn off. Swapped to top of contactor and tested on and off function and fan now operates properly
Upon arrival system wasn’t turning on. I went on top of the roof and took off the electrical panel and notice that the indoor and outdoor capacitors both need to be replaced. Further in the inspection I’ve notice that the outdoor fan motor has a good amount of rust on it which indicates that the motor will burn out soon. The indoor blower motor is seized and will need to be replaced before getting the system up and running. Overall the system is on the older side. I recommend replacing the system rather than going with the repairs. The repairs might have the system up and working but in a couple month you could have another problem with your system.
Upon arrival indoor fan powers on but ac compressor and fan do not. Checked fuses and fuses are good. Capacitor is completely blown. Recommended changing capacitor and signing up for maintenance agreement to have system inspected to prevent part failure. Kaprise signed up and took care of payment today. After changing capacitor noticed airflow was inconsistent throughout the home and ductwork may need attention. Recommended having their first tune up soon to look at full system. HPWH SMUD Conversion
All went well. No leaks were present at the time of the appointment. I had homeowner sign carbon and smoke form and left it with the water heater. Everything looks good.
