As your West Sacramento HVAC contractor, we'll double-check everything is done properly. Our technicians will show up at your home on time and ready to work.
The cost to fix an AC varies widely based on the issue's complexity. Minor repairs like fixing a capacitor or replacing a thermostat may cost $100 to $500. More significant repairs such as fixing a refrigerant leak or replacing a compressor can range from $500 to several thousand dollars. Factors like labor costs, parts, and system type influence expenses. It's advisable to obtain quotes from local HVAC professionals to get accurate estimates for your specific AC issue.
Whether to replace or repair your air conditioning equipment depends on a number of criteria, including overall efficiency, age of the system, and degree of damage. Repairing your system could be cost-effective if it is relatively fresh and the cost of the work is affordable. On the other hand, replacing older equipment that frequently has problems or serious malfunctions can end up being more economical in the long run and offer better efficiency and dependability. Making an educated choice and assessing your unique scenario are facilitated by speaking with an HVAC specialist.
An HVAC system's lifespan varies according to usage, upkeep, and model quality. A well-maintained system has a 15–20-year lifespan on average. Air conditioners typically do not last as long as furnaces. Longevity is influenced by appropriate use, timely repairs, and routine maintenance. Lifespan may also be impacted by switching to more energy-efficient models. Maintaining an eye on your HVAC system's performance, planning routine maintenance, and replacing it after 15 years can all assist in guaranteeing that it runs well for the duration of its life.
If your heat is not working, first check the thermostat settings and replace the batteries if needed. Ensure the circuit breaker for the heating system is not tripped. If the issue persists, inspect the air filter and replace it if dirty. Check for obstructions in vents and registers. If these steps don't resolve the problem, consult a professional HVAC technician. Attempting DIY fixes beyond basic troubleshooting may cause further damage. Prompt professional assistance ensures a thorough diagnosis and safe resolution of heating issues.

Was giving error code 250, not even trying to turn inducer on, noticed that the wiring for the limit switch wasn’t even installed, causing the system to trip right away when calling for heat, acting as if it was over heating. Fixed issues, called for heat, gas lights, and shuts off within 5 seconds, let try and light. 4 times, giving error code 271, flame not sensed, checked flame sensor, and noticed it was bent pretty bad to get in front of burner. Visually inspected the flame sensor, and has a crack at the crease of the flame sensor, tried replacing with universal part, and size was to small to fit into area for burners.
