He did have a concern with his return grill, he says that it’s been loose and flapping, and would like to know if we can replace his grill with one that swings out to the left or right instead of up and down. System is operating upon arrival. Eileen has no issues with her systems or airflow, but she does have a concern with her system constantly running on hot days. I advised a duct inspection, but she said it was impossible due to all the insulation covering the ducts. She wants to one day remove all the insulation and install new ductwork as well as new insulation. Thermostat is responsive when calling for cool. Temperature split was between 18 and 20°, but was definitely off due to ductwork. Metal ducting. Air handler is located in hallway closet. No signs of electrical damage on circuitboard. Signs of rodents in attic. System has hard pipe.
Neither compressor or fan running. Capacitor is out of spec on compressor side and completely blown on fan side. Hard start kit not operating either or compressor would have turned on. Gave estimates to replace parts and recommended replacing the system due to the age and the cost of the repairs. Will be having friend replace parts
Overflow switch was receiving water even though primary drain line was draining and water pump was turning on. I disconnected overflow switch and connected the overflow switch that’s built in the water pump. When I was down there I noticed tstat wires that run to the outdoor unit were bare. I went ahead and repaired the tstat wires. When I was done I turned everything back on and system was cooling upon departure.
Installed condensate pump, wired in electrical whip to condensate pump and tested condensate pump. Condensate pump operates properly and system is operating upon departure.
Had to return the same day for same issue. Drain line re-flooded within an hour of me leaving earlier today. Went under house to find drain line. Drain line sagging 6 to 8 inches and then bowing back upward, which was causing a pocket for the water to build up in. Cut Drain line and removed the amount of PVC that was causing SAG and reglued drain line back together. Tested drain line with full bottle of water and water came out the other end. Drain line problem is resolved.
Green line was backed up again; cut drain line and purged it with CO2. Due to this being a new install, I did not charge the clients. Also removed part of the exterior drain line As it was unnecessary for drainage purposes. Recommended cabs comfort club when they install care expires as well as potentially a condensate pump if the system happens to back up again. Reconnected drain line after purging and a breather system is operating departure.

System is operating upon arrival. Alan has no issues with systems are airflow. Came to replace his old disposable filter with a new filter. Collected payment. Left system running upon departure.
came to check out a new cooling system. Jim tells me that his evaporator coil was replaced last year this month due to a leak. A different company did the replacement of the evaporator coil. Jim says that upstairs cools and thermostat reaches temperature that has asked for but not downstairs. At first I wanted to make sure it was not a damper issue, both dampers are operating properly. No issues with zoning board. I also wanted to make sure the evaporator coil was not being blocked from airflow. Both filters were replaced recently by Jim. Return ducts are not crushed and are in good condition when it comes to providing the right amount of airflow to the system. nothing was blocking the evaporator coil. But I did notice that the lines on the coil were frozen and part of the coil was starting to freeze up as well. I grabbed a bit of water from the little bit of condensation. the coil was giving out and put it on the lines to see if there was a possible leak and I saw a few bubbles on the

Upon our arrival, I discovered that the thermostat was turned off as a result of the tripped condensation overflow switch. Additionally, I observed that the condensation drain was not effectively draining. To rectify this issue, I cleared the condensation drain line and repaired a buckle in the drain using a strap. As a result of these actions, the system is now draining correctly and no moisture is being detected at the switch. Upon testing by initiating a heat request at the thermostat, I can confirm that the system is currently functioning properly and providing warmth.
Installed heat pump split system, ductwork + plenum, and blew insulation.
