Arrived on site to perform maintenance on the 19-year-old furnace. Upon arrival system power is on when calling for heat at thermostat, completed sequence of operations and begins to warm the home and presents a 38° temperature rise. Let system run until a 4° increase in temperature was achieved in the home. No error codes populated on the circuit board. Tightened all connections on circuit board and inspected for any burning and there are no signs of burning today. Inducer motor is rated to pull 2.25 A in is pulling 2.21 which is nearing the maximum allowed amperage. Blower motor is pulling proper amperage. Blower motor only has light debris buildup, and the filters were recently changed. An I wave air cleaner is present in the system. Flame sensor was cleaned as part of the maintenance today. Igniter is pulling proper resistance and reading 90 ohms with a maximum of 100 ohms. Heat exchanger does not show any signs of cracking on the primary and the secondary has no carbonic acid. T

Heating tune up completed. Filters are located in 3 different parts of the house. The filters have been all replaced. The air handler is located up in the aittic. Insulation is good. Ducts are sealed and intact. Blower motor is dusty. Evap coil is good. The outdoor system is located on the ground. I’ve opened the service panel and cleaned any dust and debris. I’ve washed and cleaned the outdoor coil. System is operating with a delta T of 25. I recommend upgrading your filters to a P-Mac pure air X. This way you only have to working about replacing one filter instead of three different ones. Thank you for the orange fruit 🙂
Install
Neither thermostat not set to zone 1. Communication not active as a result. Had to rewire system twice to identify which stat was supposed to be where. System left running at 68° upon departure

Discovered loose neutral terminal in electrical panel while evaluating wires. Spoke to electrical expert and they advised i not screw it back in as we are unsure if it was ever unintentionally removed. Put wires back in line and closed electrical panel. Went back inside and lights were on up stairs.

Install parts
The furnace is not firing up due to electrical issues. The control board will need to be replaced. If the issue persists after replacing the control board, the gas valve will also require replacement.

Arrived on site to perform maintenance on a two-year-old heat pump. Upon arrival system Powers on when calling for heat and presents a 25° temperature rise. Insured all connections were secure and tight on the system; checked motor amperage and amperage is proper. Evaporator coil and blower fan are clean and in good shape. Ductwork and insulation are still like new, sealed and intact in the attic. No signs of burning or scarring or present anywhere and no signs of any leakage coming from the HVAC unit. Informed Ike that there is a few small leaks happening in his attic coming from the roof. System achieved a 4° temperature increase after arrival and is running upon departure.
Breaker was loose; repositioned breaker and let system run for 25+ minutes without tripping. System left running upon departure
Met with customer to go over all options that qualify for rebates she decided that the Bosch system would be best for her.
Invoice
Upon arrival system shows error code for no communication. Opened up diagnostic center inside Daikin thermostat, and the only equipment being found was the zoning board. Went to outdoor unit and noticed a surge protector was present on the unit however, the light was not green. Began following the voltage and noticed that the breaker Was off. Flipped the breaker on and voltage still not present. Checked the other breakers to ensure proper function and all other breakers had the voltage amount required. Diagnosis is a bad breaker. Drove back to West Sacramento to pick up a 40 amp breaker; returned to the home and installed the new breaker today. System is now operating upon departure.
Installation
Met with customer about switching from gas to heat pump we went over all options available that qualify for all the rebates.
Met with customer and his wife we went over all his concerns with his current system so I designed a few options that would be best for his current situation he ended up choosing a Bosch heat pump conversion
System running upon arrival. Lon has no issues with systems or air flow. He says the system has been running great. Both thermostats are responsive when calling for heat. Furnace is located in attic with ductwork and insulation. Ductwork and insulation original to the home but no signs of any defects in the ductwork. Insulation meets code. Furnace powers up and goes through sequence of operation. Inducer and blower motor amperage is within range. Blower capacitor is also within range. Blower has slight debris and should be cleaned. Recommended blower cleaning. All pressure switches are in operating condition. Flame sensor was cleaned off. Igniter within range. No signs of any gas leaks coming from gas lines or gas valve. Gas pressure is normal. Circuitboard shows no signs of any electrical damage. All electrical components were tied up. Zoning board shows no signs of any electrical damage and both zones are operating properly. Air filter was dirty and recommended replacement, Lon Agre

Two 2022 Lennox heat pumps. Todays visit I completed the heating tune ups. Upon arriving the client has stated everything seems to be working well. The air handlers are located in the attic. I removed the service panel and inspected the blower motor as well as the Evap coil. Both are clean. The filters for the system are also located in the attic. The filters are good however will probably need to be replaced in the spring time. I removed the HRV filter and cleaned it. The outdoor units are located on the ground. I removed the service panel and cleaned any dust and debris. I washed the outdoor coils. As of right now the systems are heating.
Our CABS technician alerted us when he was on our way, he was on time, polite, knowledgeable, and used booties in our house.

2020 Lennox heat pump system is working properly as of right now. Air handler is located in the attic as well as the duct work. Ducts are sealed and intact. Attic insulation is good. I took off the service panel for the AIRHANDLER and inspected the blower motor and evap coil. Both are clean as of today and blower motor was measured at 1.1 amps. The filter and uv purifier were replaced today. The outdoor unit is located on the ground. I took off the service panel and inspect the control board. The board had a little dust build up . I went ahead and cleaned the board from dust and debris. I’ve washed the outdoor coil as well.
Replaced air filter today
I met with the client to conduct a heat load calculation and design a performance comfort system tailored to their needs. Additionally, I evaluated the current system setup, measured for the new system, and inspected the ductwork and airflow to ensure optimal comfort and performance.
Arrived on site to perform maintenance on an eight year-old furnace. Upon arrival system powers on when calling for heat, completes a sequence of operations and begins to warm the home with a 32° temperature rise. Let system run until a 3° temperature increase was achieved in the home and no error codes populated on circuit board. Inspected motor amperage wall system was running and both the inducer motor as well as the blower motor are pulling proper amperage. Only light debris is present on the blower motor. Air filter needs replacement. Flame sensor had light chalking present today and was cleaned as part of the maintenance. Igniter should read between 50 and 100 ohms and was reading 51. Capacitor on inducer motor is within spec. Ductwork is flex deducting that is sealed and intact in the attic; parts of the attic insulation is a little low however, for the most part it is sufficient. Tested system after evaluation and system is operating upon departure.
Put in UV seal and dye to ensure no leaks And add piece of mind to client

Very disappointing overall. Tech was knowledgeable, fall TUNEUP was OK. I choose CABs for technicians who come do their job efficiently and don't bother me with high pressure sales tactics. However, CABS tech Adrian was trying to sell from the time he came til he left. I'll go somewhere else if the sales pitches continue.

Michael seemed competent, helpful, and friendly. No points to deduct. Questions about quality and pricing are more or less irrelevant. I'm on a service plan, so the price for a checkup doesn't vary. Also, the system in question was working fine before Michael showed up, and it's still working after his departure. It appears, therefore, that he didn't break the system 😉 OTOH, I don't have technical expertise to evaluate the work.
